Coco Cabanas Beach Bungalows and Beach Club

You have just discovered a Dominican Republic paradise beach resort! Coco Cabanas are charming beach bungalows with complete beach cabins offering beachfront accommodations right on the unspoiled beach front of Playa Magante. Playa Magante is a beautiful, natural and pristine bay well away from the crowded, noisy beach resorts. Staying at Coco Cabanas you will discover true beachfront paradise in comfortably designed beachfront huts with a full service restaurant, bar and concierge services.

Coco Cabanas Beach Club is located between the towns of Gaspar-Hernandez and Rio San Juan on the Dominican Republic's north coast. Our beachfront bungalows (beach cabins) are only one hours' drive from the Puerto Plata (POP) airport. Fly in, drive over and relax as you have never relaxed before; this is a true paradise bungalow destination!

Our beach accommodations include five (5) different and newly re-furbished bungalows, each equipped with a double bed and refrigerator. Each bungalow is separate, providing you enhanced privacy and each of the huts has its own fully equipped bathroom w/showers. For the family, we have one double room bungalow, each with its own bathroom and a communicating door inside, with an option to add further beds if required.

Guaranteed electricity and hot water in these beach bungalows help provide the comforts you need to thoroughly enjoy your vacation here. Quite a rarity in this part of the world!

In addition, each beach bungalow enjoys its own wooden deck with a comfy hammock, table and chairs for an optional outdoor dining experience, just steps away from the waters edge.

Beach Club Restaurant & Bar

Of course the full service restaurant and bar at Coco Cabanas is here to create every meal, from breakfast to dinner to late night snacks, from a broad variety of the freshest seafoods, mouth-watering steaks, pork and chicken. Ask for a beach barbeque (BBQ) with a bon fire; a true experience and wonderful treat for the family.

The bay of Playa Magante provides sheltered and safe swimming conditions protected by two coral reefs and extends for about half a mile either side of our property. Beyond the bay, you can walk for miles along undeveloped and Coco palm lined beach or explore on horseback, one of the many activities available to you.

Our beach bungalows and beachfront huts are crafted from the natural materials to protect the ambiance and tranquility of the beach. From Puerto Plata Airport (approx. 1 Hour)

Turn Left (East) on the main road (Avenue Duarte) as you leave the Airport in the direction of Sosua and Cabarete.

You will reach Sosua in 5-6 minutes, drive through the town towards Cabarete (another 5-6 minutes). If you stay in Cabarete, visit our friends at Velero Beach Resort...otherwise;

Continue straight on in the direction of Rio San Juan/Nagua, you will pass through the towns of Sabaneta, Gaspar Hernandez and La Hermita.

When you see a sign showing 17kms to Rio San Juan, you are approaching the village of La Yagua. As you enter the village, you will see a new white building on your right which is the new Medical Center. Continue straight ahead, you will pass Alexandra Ferreteria to your right midway through the village. Continue 1KM more, and as you leave the village you will see a large blue sign on your left, at the entrance to Playa Magante, advertising CocoCabanas and Los Gringos.

Take this turn and follow the blue signs to CocoCabanas. Grab your trunks and head to the beach!
